We recently updated our offerings to ensure our own sustainability and support our growth as we add more classes to our schedule this Fall and Winter, and face increasing operational costs. As a disabled woman with a limited income myself, I care deeply about making yoga accessible to folks living in poverty, and also have to be mindful to ensure I'm not losing money paying rent and the costs of having excellent instructors and a clean space with plenty of props and linens for your use.
While we used to offer sliding scale pricing on all of our membership options, we have found that most people struggling financially are not permanently disabled or bound to limited income, but are instead in situations where the financial burden is temporary, and gainful employment is possible. So, instead of locking you into a rate that reflects the scarcity you are dealing with temporarily, we have limited the sliding scale to single class passes (Community Pass), hoping it won't be long before there's abundance flowing in your life again.
The sliding scale Community Pass can be purchased online and used to book classes just like any other passes or memberships. Here's a link to that pass: https://momence.com/m/110937.
There is no limit to the number of Community Passes you can purchase, but note that they expire 14 days after purchase.
If you are permanently disabled, living on food stamps or in subsidized housing, and cannot manage $5 per class class, please contact me at [email protected]. We have work-trade opportunities available, and no one will be turned away for inability to pay.
I hope this makes it possible for you to take some time for yourself with our community! Please let me know if you have any questions, or if you have any ideas of how we can serve you better.
With warmth & love,
Sabrina
