Infrared radiant heat provides a variety of health benefits over traditional heating systems. Anyone who has been outside on a sunny day has experienced the warmth of the sun directly on their skin because it is infrared radiant heat. While indoor infrared heaters do not emit UV rays like the sun, they do provide the same comfortable, sun-like warmth. Here are some of the benefits of infrared heat: INCREASE CIRCULATION - Infrared heat has shown to stimulate blood flow. It can help lower blood pressure, help oxygenate organs, and move waste and toxins out of the bloodstream. DETOXIFYING SWEAT - Infrared heat might make you sweat, which is your body’s natural way of flushing toxins. As your body absorbs infrared heat, water molecules begin to vibrate, which causes them to wring out impurities from the cells. These impurities will be released from your body as you sweat, creating a deep, detoxifying cleanse on the cellular level. INCREASES FLEXIBILITY - Infrared heat directly warms muscles, allowing for a greater range of motion. Helps yoga students open up, melt deep into poses and gain confidence in their practice. PAIN RELIEF - Infrared heat directly penetrates tissues, muscles and joints, allowing them to heal and regenerate through a combination of the aforementioned increased circulation, oxygenation and detoxification. Infrared radiation is useful for pain relief for minor injuries and chronic ailments. CLEAN HEAT – Unlike forced air heating systems, our infrared radiant heating panels do not blow dust or allergens. This also keeps the air from being heated, so it's easier to breathe in our studio than a traditional hot yoga studio. We are pleased that this makes wearing a mask to yoga class A LOT more comfortable!
SOOTHING THERAPEUTIC RELIEF – Our infrared heaters produce radiant heat waves like the sun ~ transferring warmth to the body, gently increasing circulation providing pain relief. SILENT OPERATION – a pleasant ambiance day and night. An area with no interruptions to pull our attention away from our practice. UL APPROVED NO EMISSIONS – Infrared radiant heaters do not release any emissions, chemicals or pollutants — meeting all UL safety standards. ABOUT EMFs (electromagnetic frequencies) Infrared heat is safe, and not considered a source of strong EMF’s. For example, a fluorescent light bulb will put out about 200mG of EMF’s where as at peak, and infrared heat panel will put out 3mG, if you are only a couple inches from it, and 0.17mG at head height.
